		<description>I would tend to think that -- as was pointed out -- it&#039;s less that fewer Asian Americans are afflicted with Bipolar Disorder and more that they don&#039;t seek help, so the numbers are artificially low. I also think that the stigma of having the disorder is way less than it was say, 25 years ago, when my own relative first was diagnosed. What a roller-coaster ride it&#039;s been. Andthere are so many &quot;success&quot; stories, for lack of a better word, such as Patty Duke, who&#039;s been very upfront about her struggles. And there&#039;s a book: &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.bipolarman.org/AbouttheBook.html&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt; Blessed with Bipolar&lt;/a&gt; by Richard Jarzynka, talks about the gifts that have come from his disorder.
