IE Opportunities

The IE is now seeking a P/T Distribution Driver

to deliver its newspapers to various sites in the Greater Seattle region. The applicant must be available to work all day first and third Wednesdays and Thursdays of each month. The driver must be complete with the route by end of the second day, Thursday, and report back to a distribution manager with distribution worksheets. The driver must also be present for a short debriefing regarding that issue’s route – and share ideas on improvement and efficiency.

The newspaper is published the first and third Wednesdays of each month. Applicants must be extremely reliable, efficient, timely, possess good communication skills, and work well with management. There are approximately 170+ drop-off sites.

The driver will be reimbursed for the mileage and paid a monthly base wage. At least a 1-year commitment is preferred.

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

The International Examiner, the only non-profit Asian American publication in the West coast is celebrating 35 years of service to the community, and is now seeking a reliable individual to fill our Internship opportunity.

The Examiner is implementing a project to digitalize our archives to be available for view on-line. The opportunity includes using a professional camera and equipment to take photos of archival print editions of our newspaper, downloading the images to files, and editing work to ensure accuracy.

All equipment and training is provided.

Time commitment: min. 10 hours/week, for one quarter.
